The Intercountry Adoptee and Family Support Service provides support to families and individuals whose lives have been shaped by intercountry adoption.
Adoption, even into a loving and stable family, can bring disruption to a child’s life. This impact can be significant, regardless of how young a child is at the time of adoption. Challenges may arise early, as the child adjusts to their new environment, or they may emerge later in life as the individual continues to understand their experiences.
The Intercountry Adoptee and Family Support Service will provide confidential support for young or adult adoptees, adoptive parents, prospective adoptive parents and families of adoptees including siblings, partners and children.
Our team can meet with you in person, by phone or online to navigate the challenges adoption brings to lives such as cultural connections, belonging and identity, grief and loss and parenting.
