Counselling

Counselling sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to talk about challenges you may be experiencing and explore strategies to improve your wellbeing, intimate or family relationships.

Counselling can be attended either individually, as a couple or as a family. It can help to clarify issues, gain new perspectives and work towards positive changes.

At Relationships Australia – NT our experienced counsellors provide a supportive space to explore challenges and identify strategies to improve wellbeing. Whether you are facing personal difficulties or relationship concerns, the team can help you strengthen connections, improve communication and manage periods of change or disconnection within your relationships.

Some of the challenges our team can help with include:

  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma or abuse
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Work and career challenges
  • Compulsive and addictive behaviour
  • Relationship changes
  • Sexual and intimacy concerns
  • Life transitions (birth of a child, moving home)
  • Communication challenges

Every session is tailored to individual needs. Everyone can expect:

  • A safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to talk openly
  • Practical tools, coping strategies and emotional skills
  • A focus on empowering you to make decisions and find solutions
  • Referrals to additional services if needed

If your employer has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) agreement with Relationships Australia – NT, you and your family may be eligible for free counselling through this service. Please let our team know during your Intake appointment who your employer is so we can confirm your EAP eligibility.

A supportive conversation today, can lead to meaningful change tomorrow.
