Elder Abuse Prevention and Support Service

The Elder Abuse Prevention and Support Service supports older people who are currently experiencing or at risk of experiencing abuse.

This service can support older people and their families to address and reduce the risk and occurrence of abuse, exploitation or neglect.

The Elder Abuse Prevention and Support Service is for people aged 65 years and over or 50 years and over if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Our team can provide:

  • Counselling support
  • Case management
  • Community education workshops
  • Family meetings
  • Information and resources
  • The development of a safety plan
  • Referrals

At Relationships Australia – NT we also offer support from our First Nations staff and/or external interpreter services.

Every older person deserves to feel respected and safe.

This program is funded by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department.
