The Forced Adoption Support Service provides a safe and confidential space for people affected by past forced adoption practices.
Between 1940 and 1970 babies and children were taken away from their families and placed for adoption due to government policies.
The Forced Adoption Support Service will provide confidential support for mothers, fathers, adoptees and other family members who have been impacted by forced adoption.
Our team can meet with you in person, by phone or online to help you understand your history, search for records and where possible, provide avenues for reconnection with family. We also offer counselling to understand and manage grief, loss and trauma associated with forced adoptions.
